Qnovo software can speed up lithium-ion battery charging of a smart phone up to 6 times

Qnovo from California says that it has developed a new way of charging the conventional batteries of lithium-ion for smart phones. They claim to give 6 hours of more phone life by charging it for just 15 minutes. Actually, secret behind the technology is that no two batteries are same at any time and you can properly push charging in them without damaging if you precisely know their current power. This thing in turn increases life time of the battery.

These are the batteries we normally use in our smart phones, laptops or tablets. These batteries lose their efficiency and charge by the time; there are a lot of reasons but the main reason behind is dendrites creation. These dendrites are attracted to the electrolyte and short circuit the battery which in turn reduces battery life or you can say battery is quickly discharged. Due to such facts, the manufacturers are aware of the fact that lithium-ion battery charging is not any easy job due to dendrite creation. So, to reduce dendrites creation, charging current is reduced. This is very good trick to tackle the issue but in turn it results longer charging time.

Now, Qnovo is here with a revolutionized and latest solution of the issue rather to just reduce the charging current, we have designed an intelligent continuous feedback logic which constantly checks the status of battery and confirms that required amount of current is charging it.

 So, by periodically sending pulses in the battery and noting status of voltage, Qnovo can work on multiple factors that can affect charging like temperature, age etc.

Finally, Qnovo claims that by using our software your smart phone’s battery would get following advantages:

Qnovo offers two solutions to all smart phone users:

• Either to install a new hardware chip to control charging current of batter
• Or install a small software which just manages all above controls by itself

It is clear that redesigning of a hardware circuit board is not an easy job, to be accomplished by all device manufactures. So, this is very simple and efficient solution to have a single software for all type of devices (from different manufacturers), which will not only speed up battery charging but also increase its life as well.
